Welcome from the Headteacher
‘Two are better than one, because together they can work more effectively.’ Ecclesiastes 4:9
Welcome to Great Chesterford Church of England Primary Academy. Our school motto: ‘Together We are Great’ is at the heart of what we stand for. Our caring Christian environment builds positive and respectful relationships between school, parents, and pupils so our children feel safe, happy and confident individuals. Our school values are embedded in our daily practice:
- God’s Guidance
- Respect one another
- Excellent behaviour
- Aiming high
- Tremendous teamwork
We are proud of our inclusive, purposeful, and vibrant school where pupils, staff, governors, parents and the school community work hard to support and challenge each other to provide the highest standards of teaching and learning to ensure that all pupils fulfil their potential. Our pastoral system and breadth of opportunities help pupils become well-rounded, lifelong learners, with a strong sense of responsibility for themselves, their peers and the wider world.
Whether a prospective parent, pupil or current member of our school community, I hope our website is a useful insight into our school. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or arrange a visit to see us in action during a normal school day. We would be pleased to welcome you.
